2. Operating system and desktop-session limits

A. Linux Display Server Differences (Wayland vs. X11)

Wayland limits global key simulation for security. On Wayland sessions, FlitKey copies snippets to your system clipboard for quick pasting.

B. Windows Defender SmartScreen Notice

When launching standalone Windows executables, Windows SmartScreen or antivirus software may show an unverified publisher warning. That warning can appear when a publisher has not built a signing reputation yet.

3. Compatibility with other applications

FlitKey works with major code editors (VS Code, Neovim), web browsers, and chat applications, certain specialized software (such as virtual machine clients or sandboxed games) may intercept raw keyboard inputs and prevent trigger expansion.
