FlitKey Is Free
There is nothing to buy, so there is nothing to refund.
1. There is no paid product
FlitKey is distributed free of charge under the MIT License. We do not sell licences, subscriptions, or upgrades, and we do not collect payment information of any kind. Because no money changes hands, this refund policy has nothing to administer.
An earlier version of this site advertised a paid “Pro” edition at $29 with a 15-day money-back guarantee. That tier was never sold and has been withdrawn. If you believe you were charged for FlitKey by anyone, please contact us — it did not come from us, and we would like to know about it.
2. If FlitKey does not work for you
You have lost nothing but time, and we would still like to hear about it. Check the documentation and the platform support matrix first — in particular, typed triggers and global hotkeys are unavailable on Wayland sessions, which is a limitation of the Wayland protocol itself rather than a bug.
If the problem is genuinely a bug, please open an issue on the public issue tracker or reach us via the contact page.
3. Uninstalling
On Debian and Ubuntu, run sudo apt remove flitkey. On Windows, use Add or remove programs. Your snippet file remains at ~/.config/flitkey/config.json (Linux) or %APPDATA%\flitkey\config.json (Windows) so you can back it up or delete it yourself — we never held a copy.
4. If paid features return
Should FlitKey ever introduce a paid option, it will be announced on the changelog, the core will stay free and MIT-licensed, and a genuine refund policy will replace this page before any payment is accepted.
