Pack Architecture & Installation Methods

FlitKey packs are standardized JSON collections that can be loaded either through the in-app Import tool or dropped directly into your user packs folder for automatic detection.

Method 1: Toolbar Import (Fastest)

  1. Click Download Pack (.json) above to save your custom curated collection.
  2. In FlitKey v0.6.0, click the Import button on the main toolbar.
  3. Choose your downloaded JSON file to merge snippets into your active library without overriding existing triggers.

Method 2: Standalone User Pack Directory (Permanent)

Drop your JSON file into the packs/ subdirectory inside FlitKey's app data folder to have it appear as a permanent selectable item in the Expansion Packs dialog:

Linux Path: ~/.config/flitkey/packs/my-custom-pack.json
Windows Path: %APPDATA%\flitkey\packs\my-custom-pack.json
